Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position within the Central Sterilising Services Department (CSSD). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily CSSD services, ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are processed in compliance with current industry standards of Reusable Medical Devices (RMDs), Infection Prevention and Control (IP&C) protocols and policies.

The role requires an advanced technician who can work in all areas of CSSD with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. Key responsibilities include management of day-to-day activities in CSSD, providing supervision and guidance of all CSSD staff, and participating in education and development of Instrument Technicians.

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification
  • Greater than four years' experience as an Instrument Technician with extensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation
  • Extensive knowledge of sterilisation procedures and practices
