We are seeking a seasoned Risk and Compliance professional to partner with our Technology and Transformation business units as their key risk and compliance partner. As an integrated enterprise risk partner, you will be responsible for assessing and overseeing risk and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to established risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and standards.

About the Opportunity: The newly created position will act as a line 1.5-focused role, partnering with the IT and transformation teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risk and compliance issues. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting risk and compliance reports, analyses, and dashboards to the Board, Committees, and Executives, highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Environment: Utilise an Agile environment focused methodology to partner with technology and software engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective risk and compliance management.
  • Risk and Compliance Insights: Collaborate with stakeholders to gain process and risk insights, offering guidance on risk and compliance issues and promoting a culture of accountability and awareness throughout the department.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present risk and compliance reports, analyses, and dashboards to the Board, Committees, and Executives, highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations.
  • Culture of Accountability: Share insights about risk and compliance issues and requirements, promoting a culture of accountability and awareness throughout the department.
  • Swift Resolution: Oversee and identify risk and compliance concerns, working with stakeholders to guarantee swift conclusion.
  • Expertise and Communication: Assist SMEs in the Legal, Risk, and Compliance departments to effectively communicate and implement frameworks, policies, standards, and processes related to risk and compliance.
  • Risk and Compliance Assessments: Perform risk and compliance assessments and conduct line two assurance reviews to ensure adherence to established risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and standards.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Risk and Compliance Experience: Ideally 4+ years' experience working as a risk and compliance/ IT Security professional within the financial services industry.
  • Partnership and Stakeholder Management: Proven track record in partnering with technology and transformation stakeholders and managing their enterprise and/or 1st line risk.
  • Architecture and Data Flow Review: Deep understanding of architecture and data flow review for business/IT projects for alignment to security policies and compliance.
  • Third-Party Risk Management: Knowledge of third-party risk management and vendor reviews and/or IT audits of businesses and vendors.
  • Regulatory and Control Frameworks: Familiar with regulatory and control frameworks SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 documentation and audit facilitation desirable.
  • Incident Management: Experience with incident management response for security incidents including data leakage and rogue wireless access points.
  • Risk and Compliance Business Partnering: Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance business partnering.
  • IT General Controls Review: Experience auditing financial institutions' IT general controls (ITGC) review in logical access, change and operations management.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
