Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to support our client in meeting its regulatory obligations and shaping a sustainable energy future for Australia.

About the Role

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory and compliance matters, providing expert advice across the business.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continual improvement of the obligations register, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compliance reports to senior leadership, offering actionable insights.
  • Proactively monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory changes, assessing their impact on the business.
  • Review and advise on new products and business activities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.
  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of a robust compliance training program.
  • Conduct thorough compliance risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Provide expert advice on the controls assurance framework, ensuring effective risk mitigation.

About You

  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong track record in building and managing regulatory obligations registers.
  • Experience within an Australian energy retailer or generator is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or a related field are highly valued.
