Financial Institution Specialist

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join their team in Sydney. As a key member of the Treasury Operations department, you will be responsible for providing back-office administration, processing, settlement, reporting, and supporting services to the Treasury Department.
About the Role:
- Lead the Treasury Administration team and provide guidance on daily transactions, confirmations, and settlements.
- Prepare monthly reports on borrowings, including ISDA and Swaps Agreements.
- Review and authorise daily cashflow forecasts for Treasury and Reserve accounts.
- Responsible for the administration of remitting and receiving funds related to all funding activities and investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- ISDA and Swaps Agreements: Handle all aspects of ISDA and Swaps Agreements, ensuring timely execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Check and sign documentation relating to all funding facilities and financial instruments following negotiations, and prepare monthly reports on borrowings.
- Cash Management: Review and authorise daily cashflow forecasts for Treasury and Reserve accounts, check and authorise daily transactions, confirmation, and settlement letters against Daily Deal Worksheets and system entries.
- Fund Administration: Responsible for the administration of remitting and receiving funds in relation to all funding-related activities and investments.
- Payments and Receipts: Check and prepare payments for settlement of all Treasury transactions, ensuring timely payment and receipt of outstanding loan repayments and fees.
- Counterparty Liaison: Liaise with local and offshore counterparties and agencies regarding settlement of transactions, investigate, and follow up on outstanding payments and confirmations.
- Internal Controls: Assist in implementing internal controls, review, and maintain procedure manuals in line with operational and system changes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise Treasury Administration team members, set goals for achievement, and further development, provide effective leadership of Treasury Administration, including performance management, internal team communication, activity prioritisation, resource management, coaching, and mentoring.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Economics, or equivalent.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
- Extensive knowledge and ideally 4-10 years of experience in financial institutions, especially in the Treasury middle and back-office area.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment and take accountability.
- Ability to use computer systems to enhance work productivity, with expertise in the use of spreadsheets and databases.
