Job Description

As an Operational Risk Professional, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our risk management framework and ensuring robust compliance across operations. You will drive strategic risk initiatives, enhance control measures, and collaborate with leadership to mitigate operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate risk management training and development programs.
  • Lead business continuity frameworks, including impact assessments and incident response planning.
  • Manage operational risk assessments, registers, and heat maps to identify and prioritize mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate risk and control workshops, providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in risk and compliance, providing guidance to stakeholders and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Regularly monitor and report on risks, controls, and incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of operational risk experience in financial services, preferably insurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of key regulatory and compliance requirements, including GICOP, Privacy, RG271, and CPS 230.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex risk scenarios.
  • Effective relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills, with experience in third-party risk management.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
