About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Salesperson to join our Fixed Income and Currencies team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in building out our Corporate business in Australia, providing FX and Interest rate risk management solutions to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and develop business opportunities
  • Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients and provide advisory on risk management and deal pipelines
  • Develop strong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutions
  • Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets and other marketing materials
  • Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings
  • Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney to build out the franchise
  • Collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally, as well as other departments and partners
  • Maintain strong connectivity with the market and understand the needs of different corporate clients and industry groups
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets
  • Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with Australian Corporate clients
  • Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/ FXO/ Structured Investment solutions
  • Good knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel

  • Commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge and persistence in addressing clients' needs
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels

  • Proven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environment with people with diverse, international backgrounds
