Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Salesperson to join our Fixed Income and Currencies team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in building out our Corporate business in Australia, providing FX and Interest rate risk management solutions to corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growth and Development: Grow the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and develop business opportunities (both public and private deals).
  • Originating Business Opportunities: Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients and provide advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Strong Pricing and Execution Abilities: Demonstrate strong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutions.
  • Marketing and Sales: Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials to drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchise, and collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally as well as other departments and partners.
  • Market Connectivity: Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/FXO/Structured Investment solutions.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships, with demonstrable communication skills, commercial acumen, strong corporate knowledge, and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
