We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathology Specialist to join our team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care to clients.
- This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech Pathologist to provide high-quality services to adults living in residential aged care facilities and the community.
- You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing clients' swallowing and communication difficulties, as well as providing dysphagia and communication assessment and intervention. You will also have opportunities to attend internal and external workshops, as well as receive $500 annually to pursue professional development programs that interest you.
Your responsibilities will include managing your calendar of appointments, liaising with our close-knit national team of Speech Pathologists, advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties, and working closely with organisational staff, support coordinators, and colleagues to ensure optimum care needs are met.
About the Role
This is a mobile Speech Pathology position that requires travel to support clients in regional locations. You will have access to extensive resources, including telehealth-based services, and will work closely with a supportive team to deliver exceptional care to clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A professional qualification in Speech Pathology with an active membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
