
Schools Speech Language Specialist

Detailed Job Description
Key responsibilities include providing therapy services to students in schools, working with students, parents, teachers, learning support teachers, therapists, administration, and external agencies within a consultative framework. The Speech Language Pathologist will strengthen individual skills of students to access the curriculum and train teaching staff in program implementation and management.
The role requires frequent and regular school visits. We work cooperatively with the Engagement Wellbeing & Learning Team, Principals, and school staff to facilitate a holistic approach to learning for all students.
Essential Qualifications- A formal qualification in Speech Pathology at Degree level is required.
- Membership of Speech Pathology Australia is also essential.
- The ability to select and apply current methodologies in the provision of speech language pathology services in an educational setting is crucial.
We are looking for someone with strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills necessary for good working relationships. They must also demonstrate their ability to operate in teams and develop professional networks.
