Job Opportunity

The Quality Assurance Specialist role is available for an individual who can provide assurance in relation to claim assessment, promote a culture of risk management and continuous improvement, and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance activities and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of a quality assurance framework in line with risk management principles to ensure efficient claims processes.
  • Coordination of all quality assurance activities, identification of key trends, and associated periodic reporting obligations.
  • Promoting a risk-based culture through constructive feedback and monitoring.
  • Evaluation of quality assurance activities and practices to address key risks and critical processes.
  • Maintenance of relevant quality records as required.
  • Management of processes and record keeping associated with the issuing of delegations of authority.
  • Liaising with teams to ensure quality controls are up-to-date and consistent with current policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • At least two years in a senior claims consultant or higher role, or experience working in Claims quality assurance within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of life, trauma, Lump Sum (TPD), Disability, and Income Protection claims assessment and management requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of Claims processes, regulations, and compliance, and the ability to translate knowledge and experience into recommendations to add value to the business.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team member.
