About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in a remote work environment.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Accountant in managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
This role combines client interaction, project coordination and accounting responsibilities, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing a portfolio of clients and contributing to maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Accountant in managing and nurturing client relationships
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies and trusts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Australian public practice, with a focus on tax and financial reporting
- Expertise in Xero and other accounting tools
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships
