Student Grievance Officer

We are seeking a Student Grievance Officer to assume responsibility for managing student complaints and appeals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Student Affairs, contributing to the overall student experience by delivering efficient and responsive services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advisory and resolution services concerning student grievances and misconduct incidents
  • Support the management of reported incidents involving student behavior, working collaboratively with stakeholders to address matters and referring students to relevant support services
  • Guide students through complaint processes, assess appeal grounds, negotiate outcomes, and refer students to appropriate support services
  • Advise schools and faculties on student-related matters, requiring expertise in interpreting University policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in providing advice and support on organisational policies and procedures
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and documents
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make recommendations to address gaps and risks
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with experience in coordinating key stakeholders and responding to customer requests
  • Demonstrated ability to respond professionally to complex customer inquiries and manage conflict situations
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures relating to student matters
