The Australian Department of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Team Lead to join our Therapies Research Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assessments of the benefits, cost-effectiveness, and safety of specific therapies for people with disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of published literature, including clinical and academic studies and reviews, to inform therapy-related research and policy development.
  2. Identify gaps in therapy-related research and provide advice to government on a range of matters relating to the evidence base for future disability policy.
  3. Collaborate with the Assistive Technology Research team, other colleagues in the Department of Social Services, external experts, and stakeholders to strengthen linkages between research, policy, and service delivery for people with disability.
  4. Develop and lead the team to deliver against the workplan, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and budget.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners.
