Commercial Governance Expert

 

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Governance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial and Governance Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the state's economic future.

About The Role

The Commercial and Governance Team provides high-level advice on commercial, governance, and compliance matters. You will provide expert guidance on legislation, policies, commercial agreements, and governance frameworks, supporting our strategic objectives and enterprise-wide performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level advice to executives and stakeholders on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve governance, compliance, and process frameworks.
  • Support major reviews and reforms that enhance our strategic risk management and corporate governance.
  • Mentor staff and leaders on complex legal, policy, and governance matters.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate:

  • Significant experience in commercial and contractual matters.
  • Success in developing and embedding governance frameworks and compliance systems.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • High-level judgment, discretion, and integrity.
