About the Role
This role is part of our Reliability team, responsible for providing technical support to our fixed plant and field execution teams. As a Reliability Specialist Mechanical Engineer, you will apply Reliability Centred Maintenance principles to drive defect elimination, improvement initiatives, and identify opportunities to support safe and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Demonstrate safety leadership by supporting the Field Leadership program to continuously improve safety performance.
- Business Partnerships: Build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Reliability Improvements: Support reliability improvements and the elimination of defects in the end-to-end maintenance system.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze performance metrics and benchmark performance across the site and other BHP businesses.
- Operational Standards: Support the development of operating standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintenance Strategies: Develop and optimize maintenance strategies to enable plant safety, reliability, and performance.
- Team Development: Develop and increase the capability of the maintenance execution team.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and develop improvement actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across the business to drive safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Project Management: Define and manage projects from conception to completion.
Requirements
- Experience: Mechanical & Reliability industry experience in fixed plant or Degree qualified in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to influence and engage stakeholders, and experience with Microsoft Office Applications and SAP.
- Attributes: Ability to learn, adapt to change, and apply management of change and risk principles.
