Research Scientist

The School of Chemistry at UNSW Canberra is a world-renowned institution for its excellence in research and teaching. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will contribute to an ARC-funded Discovery Project focused on synthesising and characterising novel organic and organometallic molecular wires.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in organometallic and organic chemistry, and molecular electronics.
- Perform and supervise chemical syntheses, including air-free techniques.
- Characterise products of synthesis and study their properties.
- Write and maintain accurate laboratory notebooks.
- Present results at national and international conferences.
- PhD or equivalent in inorganic or organic chemistry with expertise in organometallic chemistry.
- Air-free synthesis skills, including use of glove boxes and/or Schlenk lines.
- NMR spectroscopy experience.
- Strong commitment to keeping up-to-date with discipline knowledge and developments.
