Senior Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our friendly and motivated team conducting fundamental research on the coordination of CO2 fixation and transpiration in plants.
This is an exciting opportunity to advance the general understanding of the factors driving variation among plant species in their responses to elevated CO2.
- Conduct fundamental research on the coordination of CO2 fixation, growth and use of resources in plants;
- Collaborate with colleagues to workshop effective solutions to challenging problems;
The successful candidate will have experience in fundamental research and a strong background in botany or a related field. They will be motivated by challenging problems and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to find effective solutions.
Key responsibilities- Design and execute experiments to investigate the coordination of CO2 fixation and growth in plants;
- Analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions;
- Develop and implement new methods for studying plant physiology;
- Publish results in reputable scientific journals;
- A PhD in Botany or a related field;
- Experience in fundamental research on the coordination of CO2 fixation, growth and use of resources in plants;
- A strong publication record;
- An excellent ability to communicate complex ideas effectively;
