About the Role

We are seeking a Planning Manager to join the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance team at Laing O'Rourke.

This is an opportunity to develop and implement the Planning Strategy framework across the project, ensuring best practice is adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to drive the delivery of innovative, effective, and efficient planning solutions that align with industry best practices.
  • Ensure the identification and management of critical project milestones, production outputs, and resource requirements to support proactive project management and successful delivery.
  • Lead forensic planning efforts by conducting detailed analyses of project delays, disruptions, and acceleration to support claims management.
  • Collaborate with legal and project teams to prepare, analyze, and resolve extension of time (EOT) claims and other contractual claims.
  • Take responsibility for resource management and team development.

About You

  • Solid experience in Project Planning & Scheduling on large-scale construction projects.
  • Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with prior exposure managing a team would be highly beneficial.
