Lead Naval Design Specialist

The Lead Naval Design Specialist is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the design and installation of offshore structures. This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and interpret business issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers in conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards.
  • Analyze installation loads on offshore structures to ensure they can be designed for installation requirements.
  • Evaluate limiting weather conditions for various offshore installations without overloading installation equipment or installed structures.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and problem-solving skills to address complex problems and non-standard situations.

The Lead Naval Design Specialist will also be involved in the day-to-day management of CSE activities, including guiding less experienced engineers, supervising assigned engineers, monitoring costs, and participating in the development and maintenance of Global Procedures, Software, and Standards.

Requirements:

  • 15-20 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant, leading teams of engineers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture (Master's preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of installation techniques and analysis methods, as well as theory, content, and application of standards, codes, and guidelines.
  • Strong project coordination and execution skills.
