Electrical Systems Specialist

The role of Electrical Systems Specialist is a critical position in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within our manufacturing facilities.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining electrical equipment, including motors, generators, and switchgear.
  • Performing routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and failures.
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues on electrical systems and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Following safe working practices and developing isolation instructions and job safety analysis for required work.
  • Providing assessment and follow-up of equipment issues impacting plant performance.
  • Performing equipment inspections, detailed planning, and condition monitoring of equipment.
  • Performing safe, efficient, and effective emergency repairs.
  • Fault-find on electrical equipment including PLC's, drives, and instrumentation systems.
  • Contribute to site management of contractors and maintenance service providers to ensure maintenance work is executed safely and to specification while continuing to improve tool time, lower costs, and improve quality.

Requirements:

  • Electrical trade qualifications.
  • NSW Electrical license.
  • A commitment to your own safety, wellbeing, and care for others.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and the ability to utilize electrical schematics to establish root cause.
  • Experience with maintenance to industrial control systems.
  • Fault-finding and problem-solving ability in a cross-discipline team environment.
