Job Role

The Electrical Technician occupies a key position within our engineering team, employing strong interpersonal and analytical skills to contribute to the planning, commissioning, and installation of electrical systems.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Electrical panel assembly and configuration.
  • Troubleshooting motor control systems and industrial PLC control systems.
  • Supporting the installation of new electrical equipment.
  • Reading and working from electrical schematic drawings.
  • Producing electrical drawings on CAD software.
  • Leading and contributing to the larger team.
Required Expertise
  • Certificate or Diploma in Higher Engineering Trades.
  • 10+ years' experience in electrical field, design, and commissioning control systems.
  • Current NSW Electrical Licence.
  • A proactive approach to safety.
  • Detailed attention with issue resolution skills.
  • Basic to intermediate level PLC and HMI software skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors and signalling.
  • Electronic skills – PCB assembly, troubleshooting, circuit drawing interpretation.
