Blast Furnace Maintenance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we near the end of the service life for our No.5 Blast Furnace and prepare for the relining of our No.6 Blast Furnace.

As a key part of our supply chain operations, the Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) Plant requires skilled professionals to maintain equipment to the highest standards.

  • Maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of plant operations

This role works a 12-hour rotating day and night shift, 7 days a week. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements

We are strengthening our communities for the future by investing in decarbonisation strategies and a 2050 net zero goal, aligned with the life of the blast furnace campaign, expected to last up to 20 years.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
