Electrical Technician Job Description

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the construction and assembly of electrical panels, as well as troubleshooting complex motor control systems and industrial PLC control systems. You will also provide support for the installation of new electrical equipment and produce electrical drawings on CAD.

With over 10 years of experience in the electrical field, design, and commissioning of control systems, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and skills to this role. Your strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills will enable you to work effectively with colleagues and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction and assembly of electrical panels
  • Troubleshooting of motor control systems and industrial PLC control systems
  • Support for the installation of new electrical equipment
  • Production of electrical drawings on CAD

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Higher Engineering Trade
  • 10+ years' proven experience in electrical field, design, and commissioning control systems
  • Holds a current NSW Electrical Licence
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Basic to intermediate level PLC and HMI software skills
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors and signalling
  • Electronic skills - PCB assembly, troubleshooting, circuit drawing interpretation
