Job Opportunity: International Student Coordinator

The role of an International Student Coordinator involves overseeing the operations of an international students program, fostering effective working relationships with involved personnel, and providing optimal educational outcomes and experiences for overseas students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to quality standards set by the International Education Division.
  • Program Administration: Complete administrative tasks necessary for implementing and maintaining the International Students Program.
  • Marketing Strategy: Contribute to a marketing plan that includes onshore agent visits and overseas promotional tours.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with relevant departments regarding enrolments, finances, arrivals, welfare, publicity, and airport arrival support.
  • Homestay Coordination: Arrange and monitor homestay placements for students.
  • Student Support: Liaise with teachers and position holders regarding overseas full-fee paying students.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain a list of home-stay families and ensure obligations are met.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and advise on the collection of money for payment to homestays.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure international students are aware of the College Code of Conduct and other related policies.
  • Welfare Services: Liaise with homestay providers regarding student welfare.
  • Parent Engagement: Establish and maintain contact with parents of students.
  • Student Outcomes: Develop and implement strategies to improve student learning outcomes.
Key Requirements:
  • Policy Expertise: Expert knowledge of DE International Student Program policies and Child Safe Standards.
  • Care and Wellbeing: Demonstrated capacity to manage student wellbeing and academic issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Task Management: Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Analysis and Advice: Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to provide policy advice.
