Job Title: Equipment Operator - Parks Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and efficient operator to maintain our parks and open spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating front deck mowers in a safe and controlled manner.

  • Operate front deck mowers (ride on mowers) to maintain Townsville's parks and open spaces.
Requirements:
  • Manual 'C' class driver licence required.
  • Knowledge of road signage and traffic control principles.
  • Able to safely operate various types of light plant, machinery, and equipment.

Maintain equipment in good working order and perform minor maintenance tasks as necessary. Ensure all operations are carried out with due regard to workplace health and safety standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and technical aspects of plant operation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
