About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the QC Microbiology team, including day-to-day management, planning, execution, reporting, and key performance indicators. They will also support activities related to analytical development and QC test strategy, contribute to regulatory and client audits, and work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the QC Microbiology laboratory in an 'audit-ready' state.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day management of the QC Microbiology Laboratory, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Supporting analytical development and QC test strategy.
  • Contributing to regulatory and client audits.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain the QC Microbiology laboratory in an 'audit-ready' state.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or closely related degree.
  • Experience:
  • At least 1 year previous experience in leadership and personnel management.
  • Background in analytical theory and technical competency with laboratory analysis.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledgeable with cGMP and various laboratory analyses, efficient sample workflows, in-process controls, analytical testing, and equipment maintenance/introduction.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team-working and collaborative skills.
