Warehouse Team Lead

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating all functions within an assigned area of the distribution centre to ensure and improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. This role also involves ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met, taking responsibility for the security of the building and stock, and planning the arrangement of goods within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, manage, and monitor the workings of all store persons in your team.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt of goods Inbound, Put-away, and Replenishment.
• Lead active inventory management to achieve and maintain stock accuracy.
• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Manage maintenance of equipment, plant, and machinery.
• Support the DC Leader with labour planning, including Recruitment, Induction, Training, Daily huddles with inbound and inventory teams, and enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of storepeople in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast-moving products at high volume. The ideal candidate will display the following attributes:
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
• Hands-on leadership experience.
• Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
• Current forklift licence is essential.
