Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Market Risk Manager to oversee and manage trading risks, propose process improvements, and implement control systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in risk management and a proven track record of building processes from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the portfolio of market exposure, including speculative trading, assets, retail, and environmental products;
- Resolve any issues that may arise and support a Risk Analyst to ensure performance metrics are met;
- Assist in setting up a retail business, including systems, reporting, policies, and controls and the implementation of a compliance and risk reporting framework;
- Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience working within the energy markets sector with a specific focus on risk management;
- Previous finance background is highly advantageous;
- Ability to build processes from scratch and be a self-starter;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
