Behavioural Specialist

This role requires a Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide positive behaviour support services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive assessments, functional behaviour analyses, and develop individualised behaviour support plans to reduce the impact and frequency of challenging behaviours.
Main responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice on evidence-based approaches to reducing challenging behaviours
- Conducting thorough assessments and functional behaviour analyses
- Developing and implementing individualised behaviour support plans
- Supporting complex case reviews and critical incident management
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- A degree in psychology, counselling, social science, or a related field
- Experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner and providing positive behaviour support
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support principles and practices
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- Working with Children Check and National police check
- Current Driver's Licence
