About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to join our Welfare and Engagement Team as a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist. You will report directly to the local Welfare and Engagement Manager within an Immigration Detention Facility (IDF) and provide vital support services to detainees with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice to detainees, staff, and other stakeholders on evidence-based approaches to reducing the impact of challenging behaviours.
  • Contribute to the overall success of welfare services by conducting comprehensive assessments and developing behaviour support plans tailored to individual detainees' needs.
  • Support critical incident reviews and collaborate with site-based W&E personnel to identify and support detainees at risk.

You possess excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
