Business Partner for Organisational Excellence

Job Description:

The City of Canada Bay is a vibrant community surrounded by the beautiful bays of Sydney Harbour. We are seeking an experienced Business Partner to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service to our residents.

This role will involve working closely with our People and Culture team to align business objectives with employees and management. You will provide guidance on organisational matters, support recruitment activities, and drive a positive one-team culture.

Key responsibilities include provision of practical advice and support to management and staff, execution of generalist P&C activities, coordination of performance reviews, and participation in wider P&C projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline with demonstrated industry experience
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to management on complex disciplinary and industrial relations matters
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies and contracts
  • An understanding of Local Government employment legislation, preferred
  • Consultation skills and experience with executives
