Job Title:

Senior Human Resources Business Partner

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to play a key role in supporting leaders and staff across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. You will provide expert advice on workforce strategy, industrial relations, performance management, and organisational change.

Your work will help shape a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with public sector legislation and HR best practices.

  • Partner with managers to build workforce capability aligned with business goals.
  • Guide leaders through performance, talent, and change management processes.
  • Advise on complex workforce matters including grievances, disputes, and industrial issues.
  • Help ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and organisational policies.
  • Promote and embody our CORE values – Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR advice to leaders and staff.
  • Develop and implement workforce strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage and resolve complex HR issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in Workforce/Human Resources management.
  • Previous experience in generalist workforce/human resources functions including change management, industrial consultation, grievance and disciplinary management, job evaluation, recruitment and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the public sector, relevant employment and Industrial Relations, EEO, Child Protection, WHS Legislation and relevant State Awards.
