About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resource Advisor to join our team at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services. As a key member of our Human Resource Services team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR advice and support to our regional and state office managers and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance on employee entitlements, HR systems, establishment management, and local recruitment and selection.
  • Design, develop, and deliver HR initiatives, policies, and resources to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Collaborate with staff, managers, and decision-makers to progress day-to-day HR entitlements and activities.
  • Liaise with Queensland Shared Services and QFD subject matter experts to ensure quality people management practices.
  • Analyse payroll and employee data to address individual and broader workforce issues.
  • Contribute to HR capability across the workforce through the design, development, and delivery of procedures, guidelines, and resources.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and/or experience in contemporary HR management and best practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
