About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join our team at Charterhouse Recruitment (Australia). As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our workshop, serving internal clients predominantly from a Heavy Diesel or Automotive background.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer and Stakeholder Liaison
  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal clients, management, and workshop staff.
  • Communicate all customer requirements and concerns accurately and promptly to the workshop team.
  • Provide updates to clients on the progress of their repairs and maintenance.
Repair Orders and Invoicing
  • Manage the daily flow of repair orders from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for all services rendered.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repair orders and customer interactions.
Maintenance Advice
  • Assess vehicle and equipment conditions and provide clients with professional advice on future maintenance requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
Customer Satisfaction
  • Strive to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and efficient service delivery.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
Operational Efficiency
  • Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and technical staff to ensure smooth and efficient workshop operations.
  • Assist in the planning and allocation of resources to meet service demands.
Administrative Duties
  • Prepare and present regular reports on workshop activities, customer feedback, and operational performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
Requirements
  1. Experience
  • Proven experience as a Service Advisor in the Automotive Industry, preferably within a Heavy Diesel or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high volume repair orders, invoicing, and customer interactions.
Mechanical Knowledge
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and background, with the ability to understand and communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with heavy diesel and automotive systems and components.
Time Management
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Communication Skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal clients and team members.
Additional Requirements
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • A valid driver's licence, with a preference for a Heavy Vehicle licence.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to workshop management and invoicing.
