About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Advisor to join our team at Charterhouse Recruitment (Australia). As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our workshop, serving internal clients predominantly from a Heavy Diesel or Automotive background.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer and Stakeholder Liaison:
    Act as the primary point of contact between internal clients, management, and workshop staff, providing exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to convey customer requirements and concerns accurately and promptly to the workshop team.
  2. Repair Orders and Invoicing:
    Manage the daily flow of repair orders from initiation to completion, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for all services rendered, and maintaining detailed records of all repair orders and customer interactions.
  3. Maintenance Advice:
    Assess vehicle and equipment conditions and provide clients with professional advice on future maintenance requirements, scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  4. Customer Satisfaction:
    Strive to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and efficient service delivery, addressing and resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  5. Operational Efficiency:
    Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and technical staff to ensure smooth and efficient workshop operations, assisting in the planning and allocation of resources to meet service demands.
  6. Administrative Duties:
    Prepare and present regular reports on workshop activities, customer feedback, and operational performance, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Experience:
    Proven experience as a Service Advisor in the Automotive Industry, preferably within a Heavy Diesel or similar environment, with demonstrated experience in managing high volume repair orders, invoicing, and customer interactions.
  2. Mechanical Knowledge:
    Strong mechanical knowledge and background, with the ability to understand and communicate technical issues effectively, familiarity with heavy diesel and automotive systems and components.
  3. Time Management:
    Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  4. Communication Skills:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal clients and team members.
Additional Requirements
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • A valid driver's licence, with a preference for a Heavy Vehicle licence.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to workshop management and invoicing.
