Job Role: HR Operations Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the Human Resources (HR) operations function, providing strategic leadership and oversight of payroll support and compliance while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR operations function ensuring compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee HR systems and processes for employees and contractors, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support payroll governance and provide backup payroll processing as required.
  • Drive HR policy development, communications and change initiatives.
  • Lead employee relations matters investigations and resolution processes.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Partner with executives to deliver workforce planning, HR strategies and remuneration reviews.

About You:

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in HR operations, compliance and systems improvement, with strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work compliance and payroll legislation. You will possess excellent communication skills, be proactive and solution-focused, and able to partner effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related field.
  • Demonstrated HR supervisory or operations experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work compliance and payroll legislation.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems, ideally in a multi-site or remote workforce.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead change.
