About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our College Leadership Team as a Dean of Student Support.

This role will see you working in close partnership with your Associate Principal Line Manager to collaboratively lead the Student Support Team's successful implementation of key aspects of the College Business and Operational Plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the work of the staff within the Student Support Team to promote and ensure the effective engagement of staff, students and the community with the College Behaviour Management Policy and Guidelines.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the school's policies and procedures, identify strategies for improvement and formulate appropriate changes.
  • Provide advice and support to staff, building morale and professionalism within the team.
  • Performance and Development of staff.
  • Lead the successful collaboration between Student Support Team members supporting the College focus on promoting and building a positive culture across the College.
  • Build strong school and community links.
  • Promote the ethos of the school and to "Seek Excellence".
  • Contribute as a member of the school management team and participate fully in the decision making process.
  • Promote the exchange of information within the College.

Eligibility

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • hold registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.

    • Demonstrated professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students, (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
    • Demonstrated capacity to manage physical and financial resources.
