Job Title: Disability Support Associate

 

About the Role:

Our team is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. We offer a range of disability services designed to cater to individual needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Offer transportation assistance to clients as needed.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to guarantee the well-being of clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the NDIS field.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willingness to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with individuals with disability.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, acknowledging the varied support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
  • Basic care and first aid skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
