Job Overview:

The Procurement Manager is a strategic leadership opportunity in the corporate and commercial team. This role offers flexible work arrangements with a balance of office and remote workdays.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, deliver, and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and conducting category reviews to drive business understanding and leverage supplier capabilities for competitive advantage.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, including RFX processes, negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, and implementation.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, proactively engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions, support innovation, and unlock end-to-end value.
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, commodity/cost drivers, inflation trends, and supply risks, translating insights into actions that mitigate risk and enhance resilience.
  • Champion total cost of assigned categories by identifying and implementing novel ways to reduce costs, improve quality, enhance innovation, and improve total value for money.
  • Manage spend area P&L, including ownership of annual operating plans and regular forecast updates.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers to drive performance, innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage pipelines of initiatives across productivity, innovation, sustainability, and risk mitigation, leading cross-functional teams to implement and track outcomes.

About You:

We are seeking a Procurement Manager with proven experience in similar roles, particularly in indirect corporate and commercial services. Key skills include:

  • Strong negotiation skills and deep understanding of sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Experience developing category strategies and leading complex supplier negotiations.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel and procurement/business systems.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related disciplines preferred.
