Job Description

The Strategic Financial Lead will play a key role in shaping the financial direction of our IT department. This includes developing and implementing strategies to drive business value, analyzing operational expenditure, and providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional with strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities. You will be responsible for negotiating, influencing, and communicating effectively with business stakeholders, addressing hands-on issues with the business, and delivering high-quality outcomes to senior managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business value and optimize operational expenditure.
  • Analyze and provide insights on operational costs, preparing month-end packs for key stakeholders.
  • Support the development of the annual budget, Rolling Forecast, and Long-range plan, working closely with stakeholders within IT, One Tech organisation, and Finance.
  • Provide strategic commercial and financial leadership on all aspects of IT's decisions to relevant GM and IT Leadership teams.
  • Prepare and review capital investment criteria to ensure business case integrity and robustness, making post-implementation reviews easily accessible and readily available, and reporting on the prioritization of projects within budget constraints.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional with:

  • PREFERRED CPA/CIMA/CA or equivalent qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience post-qualification.
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial modeling.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capability, able to influence and steer actions and decision-making at Exec level.
