Job Description

The role of Team Leader Investigations is pivotal in managing and resolving complaints under the Legal Profession Uniform Law.

  • Lead a team of investigators to oversee the management and resolution of complaints;
  • Provide advice and support to team members on individual matters, utilizing sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Manage overall team resources, including practice management and active case management;
  • Review and monitor team functions and responsibilities, including performance evaluations of team members;

This leadership position requires an extensive understanding of the legal profession, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide guidance and support to team members.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and supervising a small legal team in the Investigations department;
  • Providing expert advice and assistance to team members on various matters, including legal and regulatory compliance;
  • Active case and practice management, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to client matters;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive work environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the legal profession, preferably in a leadership or management capacity;
  • Proven expertise in managing and resolving complex complaints under the Legal Profession Uniform Law;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients;
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and recommendations.
