Job Title: Director of Investigation and ComplianceAbout the Role

This role involves overseeing investigations into organisations that fall under the Reportable Conduct Scheme. The Director is responsible for ensuring these organisations prevent and respond to reportable allegations.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and leadership across the Reportable Conduct Directorate. They will lead, supervise, and mentor employees within the Directorate while modelling best practice.

The Director fosters a performance-driven culture where team members enjoy career growth and job satisfaction. They participate in various activities associated with the reportable conduct function and the broader OCG functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
  • Manage confidential matters to ensure risks to children are managed appropriately and investigations are thorough.
  • Lead complex investigations and disciplinary complaints to optimise outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW child protection system, the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and investigative best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, organisational, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience working at a senior level in a complex organisation providing specialist advice to executive leaders.
