Commercial Business Leadership Opportunity

Shape the future of our Shire by leading the Commercial Business Department and delivering efficient, effective commercial business services.

The Department plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the Shire through the management and operation of key commercial assets and the provision of Shire-wide services such as economic development and tourism.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Department to deliver commercially driven services that meet customer needs and contribute to the success and prosperity of the Shire.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sustainable business outcomes and enhance the Shire's reputation.

We are seeking a commercially minded leader with a strong background in managing complex operations, ideally within a government or public sector context. You will have a proven ability to balance commercial success with community benefit and stakeholder engagement.

  • Essential Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role overseeing commercial operations, property, and/or business services.
  • Strong strategic and financial acumen, with a track record of delivering sustainable business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks within a government setting.
