Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded leader to oversee the delivery of commercial business services. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of our organisation through the management of key assets and services.

About the Role
  • Lead a team to deliver efficient and effective commercial business services.
  • Oversight and management of various operational assets, including Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks, Kempsey Airport, and Kempsey Regional Saleyards.
  • Economic Development & Tourism – management of the Slim Dusty Centre and Visitor Information Services.
  • Property Services – strategic and statutory property management.
  • Facilities & Operations – management of Council's owned facilities and cemeteries.

This is a senior leadership position requiring open and constructive contribution as a member of the leadership team.

About You

We are looking for a strong leader with a background in managing complex operations, preferably within a government or public sector context. Key requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualification/s in Business or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role overseeing commercial operations, property, and/or business services.
  • Strong strategic and financial acumen, with a track record of delivering sustainable business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks within a government setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
