Job Purpose

The Regional Maintenance Manager (off-road) will lead the activities of the workshop in servicing and repairing the company's transport fleet. This includes developing a service maintenance and preventative maintenance plan to minimize disruption to the fleet and customers. The successful candidate will also ensure the workshop meets company procurement policies, procedures, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage health, safety, and environmental obligations and requirements
  • Ensure compliance with customer, quality assurance, and documentation requirements
  • Develop and implement the Regional Business Plan
  • Provide effective leadership and development opportunities to line managers and superintendents
  • Manage operating cost performance, including budget development and management, and achievement of performance targets
  • Assist with future regional projects, including opportunity identification, operational design, and execution plans
  • Liaise with customers, regulatory authorities, and suppliers to promote Qube Bulk
  • Provide timely and accurate data input and reporting on regional operational performance and business development
  • Manage performance management for operational staff, including monitoring site managers and superintendents

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of the trucking, bulk haulage, and port sectors, with in-depth knowledge of mobile fleet and associated equipment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing and developing employees, ideally in a ports, logistics, or heavy industry environment
  • Diploma in Business, Logistics, or related area, equivalent or greater
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively resolve tasks
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
