Our Out of Home Care program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people. As a part-time Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in helping them heal, grow, and build a brighter future.

As a Youth Worker, your primary responsibility is to provide trauma-informed care and support to the young people in our care. This includes:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to ensure the young person's physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met
  • Helping with personal care, education, social activities, and independent living skills to promote their well-being and self-sufficiency
  • Creating a safe and stable home environment where young people feel valued and supported
  • Offering trauma-informed and positive behavior support when challenges arise, helping young people to develop resilience and coping strategies
  • Encouraging connections with family, culture, and community to foster a sense of belonging and identity
  • Working closely with a supportive team to ensure the best outcomes for young people
