Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Low Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to provide Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services to individuals with vision impairment. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting individualized O&M assessments, planning effective instructional programs, and training clients in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive O&M assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized plans.
  • Design and implement effective instructional programs to enhance client independence and mobility.
  • Train clients in various techniques to navigate different environments.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in O&M services and low vision rehabilitation.
  • Strong assessment and program planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
