Job Title: Canine Behaviour Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced dog handler and trainer who can work with dogs of varying breeds and sizes. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to remain calm under pressure and possess strong communication skills.

We are seeking someone with a high level of independence, able to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in difficult situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing customised training programs based on individual dog needs and behavioural patterns.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of implemented training programs and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicating effectively with dog owners regarding their pets' behaviour and providing tailored advice on training techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate records of dog training and medical needs, as well as monitoring play and socialisation times to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a dog handler and trainer.
  • The ability to handle dogs of different breeds and sizes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work in person and have a valid work authorisation for Australia.

Salary Range:

$73,150 - $78,500 per year.
