Job Opening: Stay And Play Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team in providing safe and high-quality canine care in our Stay & Play program.

This role involves supervising playgroups, running daily enrichment activities, maintaining hygiene standards, and providing friendly and professional client interactions. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving an automatic van to transport dogs to and from their owners, requiring pre-start vehicle checks, route planning, secure loading and unloading, clean-down, and fuel logs.

To succeed in this position, you must have a passion for dogs and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, shelter, or grooming environments is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise playgroups using low-stress handling techniques and monitor body language to ensure safe introductions.
  • Run daily enrichment activities such as LickiMats, scent/snuffle games, and calm stations, documenting activities and observations.
  • Maintain hygiene standards by following SOPs for yard resets, water/bowl rotation, waste protocols, disinfecting, and laundry.
  • Complete incident notes and daily logs accurately and on time.
  • Drive the company vehicle, including pre-start vehicle checks, route planning, secure loading/unloading, clean-down, and fuel logs.
  • Provide friendly and professional client interactions at pick-up/drop-off points and FOH touchpoints.

Essential Requirements:

  • A full, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record and confident driving an automatic van.
  • Proven confidence handling dogs of varied sizes and temperaments, including anxious/reactive dogs.
  • Physical capability to lift up to ~20 kg and work on your feet.
  • Comfortable working in all conditions, as this position is based outside.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and clear communication skills.
  • Availability for early morning and late-afternoon transport windows.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in dog daycare, boarding, shelter, or grooming environments.
  • Pet first aid and/or fear-free/low-stress handling knowledge.
  • Basic record-keeping and customer service skills.
