Job Title: Animal Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate and animal-loving individual to join our team as an Animal Attendant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care and enrichment to our furry friends, while also developing your skills in canine behaviour and training.

About the Role

As an Animal Attendant, you will be responsible for supervising groups of dogs, managing their behaviours, and implementing daily leadership and training activities. You will also be required to provide canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities, as well as frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise groups of dogs and manage their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety.
  • Provide canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities.
  • Implement daily leadership and training activities.
  • Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility.
  • Build and maintain rapport with dog owners through daily feedback and transparency.
  • Create and distribute media content for dog owners through videos and photos.

Requirements

  • Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines).
  • Able to handle larger breed dogs.
  • A high level of communication and empathetic in nature.
  • Able to work long days, on your feet, in a high-pressure environment.
  • A passion for, strong desire to learn, or aspiration to continue development with canine behaviour and training.
